Web Developer

The Arizona Bar Foundation is hiring an experienced and creative Website Developer. The Website Developer should be ready with a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and content management systems (CMS). The position will be responsible for designing and building/coding websites for our department programs – from layout to function – according to each grant’s program specifications, as well as modifying and updating live websites. You will be working closely with the Chief Information Officer and content staff on each project to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation. A complete understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is needed.


Position Responsibilities and Requirements Include:

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and CMS applications like Joomla or Drupal.
  • Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
  • 2+ years of experience in design, web development or CMS.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, while accurately setting and meeting deadlines.
  • Problem solver with the ability to think creatively.
  • Experience manipulating and customizing CMS themes.
  • Comfortable adding/troubleshooting various CMS plugins and add-ons.
  • Experience with Photoshop or other photo editors.
  • Highly dependable, very organized, able to work independently as well as with teams and a project manager.
  • Able to communicate with staff, via phone or video meeting, to gather information regarding website creation and needs.
  • Provide accurate time estimations regarding website builds and maintenance.
  • Knowledgeable about branding to create websites that cater to the organization’s target audience and story.
  • Experience researching, installing, and updating Joomla frameworks, components, modules and plugins.
  • Experience building responsive websites.
  • Experience of web applications, scripts, and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and API integrations.
  • Experience with social media connectors.
  • Advance knowledgeable of SEO and configuring and creating Google Analytics reports for staff.
  • Help staff with training on developed and deployed components/modules/plugins.

Pay/Benefits: 53k/year, full medical, dental and vision. 15 vacation days, 12 sick, one floating personal day. Flexible schedule and hybrid workplace
